Diana Rademacher

Communications & Coalitions Director

As Communications and Coalitions Director, Diana carefully integrates Justice Action’s Network’s strategic and policy goals, conceptualizing and executing comprehensive campaigns that elevate JAN’s work at both state and federal levels. She oversees the organization’s communications teams and builds, maintains and deploys partnerships with national organizations, stakeholders, lawmakers, and others to advance good policy in congress and state legislatures across the country.

Prior to JAN, Diana was Policy Director for Americans for Prosperity-Michigan. In that role, she was involved with the passage of the nation’s first Clean Slate Act to include automated record-sealing for low level felonies; led the right-leaning lobbying and stakeholder engagement efforts for an extensive slate of pretrial reforms; designed a co-response grant program, built and directed a diverse coalition in support of the program, and secured $20 million funding for both it and a mental health diversion counterpart. During the 2021-2022 legislative session she also led a robust bipartisan coalition for bail reform that brought together partners from every part of the political spectrum and from multiple areas of civil society, including business, faith, criminal justice, mental health, and electoral politics.

Diana has previously worked with NGOs, industry organizations, and others to advance solutions to some of the most complex public policy issues facing the nation and world, including food security and public health in developing nations; immigration; and social, emotional and academic development in schools. She is a skilled strategist who excels at establishing and navigating complicated partnerships across political lines to achieve lofty policy goals.
