Rally for Reform 2021

#EndTheDisparity

On July 27, 2021, the Justice Action Network teamed up with FAMM for a Rally for Reform at the Capitol View Rooftop at the Hall of States building in Washington, DC. As critical bipartisan criminal justice reform legislation gathered steam in the House and across Capitol Hill, Republican and Democratic officials and impacted families joined FAMM and Justice Action Network to rally for the EQUAL Act, a bill that would fully and finally eliminate the sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine.  The EQUAL Act received an overwhelming bipartisan vote in the House Judiciary Committee, has bipartisan support in the Senate, and has earned the support of leading law enforcement organizations and advocacy groups from across the political spectrum.

Special guests included:

Representatives Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Kelly Armstrong (R-ND)
