Pennsylvania Clean Slate Expansion Hearing and Press Conference, Harrisburg, PA, August 2022

On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, the Justice Action Network and Community Legal Services of Philadelphia (CLS) organized and participated in the Pennsylvania Clean Slate Expansion Hearing in front of the PA House Judiciary Committee. The hearing was an educational session centered around the third iteration of the Pennsylvania Clean Slate bill which would allow drug felony convictions to be sealed automatically and some property-related felony convictions to be sealed by petition after 10 years without a conviction.

The hearing was followed by a press conference in the State Capitol Rotunda. The event, moderated by Representative Sheryl Delozier (R-PA), included remarks from bill co-sponsor Representative Jordan Harris (D-PA), and several advocates, impacted individuals, and leaders in the business community.
